Andy Roddick’s countryman, Sam Querrey, has been defeated by Novak Djokovic in the third round of the BNP Paribas Open. Djokovic won the match in the straight sets by 6-0, 7-6(2).

It took Djokovic just 1 hour and 27 minutes to win the match.

Actually, the match between Djokovic and Querrey had to start at 8:30 p.m. But, because of the fact that the earlier matches went on for longer durations, this match started about 4 hours late.

Djokovic started aggressively and just flattened the 26 years old American in the opening set by securing a bagel.



Rafael Nadal has defeated Ryan Harrison of USA in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open. Nadal won the match in the straight sets by 7-6(3), 6-2.

It took Nadal 94 minutes to make his way into the third round. His next opponent will be Leonardo Mayer of Argentina.

After the match, Nadal said, “Ryan is a good, young player and he made me work quite hard in the first set.”
“I am still not at my best. I still need a lot of improvement in my movement on the court. I think I was a bit slow in the opening set.”



Roger Federer has defeated Milos Raonic of Canada in the fourth round of the Australian Open 2013. Federer won the match in the straight sets by 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-2. With this victory, Federer has moved into the final 8.

The Swiss Maestro took less than a couple of hours to knock his Canadian opponent out of the competition. Raonic banged a total of 19 aces in the match, but, along with that, he also committed 41 unforced errors which nullified the effect of those aces.



Roger Federer has defeated Benoit Paire of France in the first round match in the Australian Open 2013. Federer won the match in the straight sets by 6-2, 6-4, 6-1.

Federer is much higher in ranking than Paire and he wasn’t expected to have too much of a problem against the 23 years old Frenchman. That’s what exactly happened. It was Federer who remained dominant right through the match and completely outsmarted Paire. The Swiss maestro took just 83 minutes to win the match.



Roger Federer has defeated Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia in a Group B match of the ATP World Tour Finals. Federer won the match in the straight sets by 6-3, 6-1. This was the first Round Robin match for Federer in the tournament. With this victory, Federer has now been placed at the no. 1 position in the Group B points table.



Roger Federer has defeated his compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka in the third round of the Shanghai Rolex Masters 2012. Federer won the match by 4-6, 7-6 (7/4), 6-0. With this victory, Federer has reached the quarter finals of the competition.

It was a very interesting match and at one point of time, Federer was on the verge of losing the match. But, the World no. 1 showed his class and made a fantastic comeback to win the match. Federer took almost 2 hours to register the victory. This was the 13th match between these two players and Federer defeated Wawrinka for the 12th time.



The no. 1 male tennis player in the world, Roger Federer, has defeated Donald Young of USA in the first round of the US Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Federer won the match in the straight sets by 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. Federer has been in fine form in the recent times.



Roger Federer has defeated John Isner of USA in the quarter final of men’s tennis singles tournament of London Olympics. Federer won the match in the straight sets by 6-4, 7-6 (5). Federer hasn’t won a Gold medal in the singles event of the Olympics yet. But, the kind of form he is in at the moment, he might end up winning his first gold medal in the singles event this time around. He took just 85 minutes to knock Isner out of the competition.
