MURRAY SUFFERS DEFEAT

Andy Murray was defeated in Miami in a surprising fashion after he was expected to win the Sony Ericsson open.Murray was broken seven times as the world number 118 secured a 6-1 7-5 victory in an hour and 35 minutes.

The loss comes two weeks after Murray was dumped out the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells by Donald Young.

And the Scot has failed to win a single set since defeating David Ferrer at the Australian Open in January.

“I’ve played poorly last two weeks, but I was happier with the way that I competed this week than last. Confidence could have something to do with that,” he said after his latest loss.

“In practice I have been competing well,” he added on his official website.
